With family origins dating back to the early days of motoring, Hughes Workshop combines state-of-the-art engineering excellence with a regard for our heritage and tradition in the automotive sector.
 
The business saw new ownership in 2024 following its 40+ years of ownership and management by Bruce and Joi Wilkinson, whom with a wealth of motoring knowledge ensured the business provided the necessary knowledge, skills and expertise to support its customers. This continues with the new owner, George Palmer.
 
George was previously employed by Bruce and Joi for 17 years, more recently in a management role, so he understands what is required to ensure the business meets the needs of its customers whilst also remaining keen to “get his hands dirty” on the shop floor working alongside his staff.
 
Hughes Motor Company, which Hughes Workshop is born from, is one of the longest standing automotive names in the south coast you can be assured of outstanding service and engineering excellence at all times.
